Brodie of the College of Dentistry, Acting Dean Roger A. H a r v e y of the College of Medicine, and Director Leslie A. Bryan of the Institute of Aviation who reported on the state of their respective divisions. DECEMBER MEETING President Livingston announced that the Board had previously scheduled its next meeting for December 16, 1953, to be held in one of the conference rooms of the First National Bank of Chicago on invitation of its officials extended by M r . Weldon, T r e a s u r e r of the University. On motion of M r . Johnston, the Board adjourned. A. J. J A N A T A PARK LIVINGSTON Secretary President M E E T I N G OF T H E E X E C U T I V E C O M M I T T E E A meeting of the Executive Committee of the Board of Trustees of the University of Illinois was held in the LaSalle Hotel, Chicago, Illinois, on November 20, 1953, following adjournment of the Board of Trustees meeting. The following members of the Committee were present: Mr. P a r k Livingston, Chairman, M r . H e r b e r t B. Megran, and M r s . Frances B. Watkins. M r . A. J. Janata, Secretary of the Board, was also present. The Secretary presented the following: REPORT OF PROCEEDING FOR THE REVOCATION OF ILLINOIS CERTIFIED PUBLIC ACCOUNTANT CERTIFICATE NO. 1 5 0 0 ISSUED TO MERVYN L. M C C A R T H Y The Committee on Accountancy of the University of Illinois has recommended that Illinois Certified Public Accountant Certificate No. 1500 issued by the Board of Trustees of the University of Illinois to Mervyn L. McCarthy on March 14, r 939. be revoked for causes on the basis of which the Certified Public Accountant Certificate issued to Mr. McCarthy in Colorado has been revoked by the Board of Accountancy in Colorado. The Committee on Accountancy has submitted a record of its proceedings in this matter. The record shows that it has offered Mr. McCarthy a hearing, but he has failed to appear. The Legal Counsel recommends that prior to formal action by the Board of Trustees revoking this certificate, as a precautionary measure and to grant Mr. McCarthy his full rights, a letter be sent him by the Secretary of the Board offering him the opportunity of a hearing before the Board of Trustees at the next meeting. The Secretary requests the instruction of the Board in this matter. On motion of M r . Megran, the Secretary was authorized to send Mr. McCarthy an official notice as recommended by the Legal Counsel. The Executive Committee adjourned. A. J.
