win Avenues), at a price of $20,000, a down payment of $1,000 to be made immediately and the balance to be paid after July 1, 1957.

These properties are within the area of future campus expansion. Memoranda describing each of them and explaining the need for their acquisition at this time, and a copy of the minutes of the meeting of the Committee on Buildings and Grounds at which the Committee considered these land acquisitions have been filed with the Secretary of the Board for record. President Henry stated that he concurs in these recommendations. On motion of Mr. Livingston, (a) the purchases of these properties at the prices and on the terms indicated were authorized; (b) an appropriation of $4,000 was made from the General Reserve Fund for the down payments; and (c) the Comptroller and Secretary of the Board were authorized to execute the necessary contracts and other documents relating to this land acquisition program. These actions were taken by the following vote: Aye, Mr. Bissell, Mr. Herrick, Mrs. Holt, Mr. Johnston, Mr. Livingston, Mr. Megran, Mr. Swain, Mrs. Watkins, Mr. Williamson; no, none; absent, Mr. Nickell, Mr. Stratton.
