APPROPRIATION FROM AGRICULTURAL INCOME (14) T h e Dean of the College of Agriculture recommends an appropriation of $2,000 from the accumulated surplus in agricultural income for the improvement of feed lots in the beef cattle feeding shed area. The work will consist of grading three feed lots and concreting another. T h e improvement is needed to provide a cattle feed lot which will be used in studies of controlled feeding on individual animals. Funds are available. I concur. O n m o t i o n of M r . Remodeling in Dark Room — Radiology Department 1 275 5. Display cases for Obstetrics and Gynecology Department 845 6. Fluorescent lights for Dermatology Department 1 200 7. Remodeling in Division of Toxicology 520 8. Repairing and relocation of student lockers for Physical Plant Department 995 Total, Chicago Professional Colleges $ 7 435 At Urbana-Champaign 9. Remodeling 601 East John Street for Speech Department $13 470 10. Remodeling in Vivarium 15 500 11. Remodeling and equipment in Natural History Building 17 000 12. Acoustical treatment of Band Building 1 800 Total, Urbana-Champaign $72 785 Total, Chicago Professional and Urbana-Champaign $80 220 I concur with the recommendation that the appropriations for the Chicago Professional Colleges (total, $7,435) be charged against the "Chicago Nonrecurring Reserve" and the appropriations for Urbana-Champaign (total, $72,785) be charged against "Reserve for Nonrecurring Purposes." Requests for these assignments of funds have been carefully studied by the Chicago Professional Colleges and the Urbana-Champaign Committees on Non-
