MEETING OF THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE UNIVERSITY OF ILLINOIS September 2 3 , 1948 The September meeting of the Board of Trustees of the University of Illinois was held on Thursday, September 23, 1948, at the Country Club, in Peoria, according to the following schedule: 10 a.m. — Executive session as in Committee of the Whole. 12 m. — Open session. The following members were present: President Fornof, General Davis, Mrs. Holt, Mr. Livingston, Mr. McKelvey, Mr. McLaughlin, Dr. Meyer, Mr. Nickell, Mr. Williamson. President Stoddard was present; also Provost Griffith, Assistant to the President, Mr. A. J. Janata, Secretary H. E. Cunningham, Comptroller Lloyd Morey, Legal Counsel W. E. Britton, and, during the open session, Director J. F. Wright. MINUTES APPROVED The Secretary presented the minutes of the meetings of May 21-22 and June 15, 1948. On motion of General Davis, the minutes were approved as printed on pages 1091 to 1482. 75
