MEETING OF THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE UNIVERSITY OF ILLINOIS May 2 1 , 1 9 4 9 The May meeting of the Board of Trustees of the University of Illinois was held in the Mini Union Building, in Urbana, on Saturday, May 21, 1949, according to the following schedule: 10:00 a.m. — Executive session as in Committee of the Whole. n 130 a.m. — Open session. The following members were present: President Williamson, Mr. Fornof, Mr. Herrick, Mrs. Holt, Mr. Livingston, Mr. McLaughlin, Mr. Nickell, Mrs. Watkins. President Stoddard was present; also Assistants to the President, A.. J. Janata and Wilbur Schramm, Secretary H. E. Cunningham, Comptroller Lloyd Morey, Provost C. R. Griffith, Legal Counsel W. E. Britton, and, during the open session, Mr. J. F. Wright, Director of Public Information, and Senator E. R. Peters. 357
