MEETING OF THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE UNIVERSITY OF ILLINOIS April 21, 1949 With Executive Committee Meeting of March 29, 1949 The April meeting of the Board of Trustees of the University of Illinois was held on Thursday, April 21, 1949, at the Executive Mansion, in Springfield, according to the following schedule: 10 a.m. — Executive session as in Committee of the Whole. 12 m. — Open session. All the members were present: President Williamson, Mr. Fornof, Mr. Herrick, Mr. Hickman, Mrs. Holt, Mr. Livingston, Mr. McLaughlin, Dr. Meyer, Mr. Nickell, Governor Stevenson, Mrs. Watkins. President Stoddard was present; also Vice-President A. C. Ivy, Provost C. R. Griffith, Assistant to the President A. J. Janata, Secretary H. E. Cunningham, Comptroller Lloyd Morey, Legal Counsel W. E. Britton, and during part of the day, Director J. F. Wright. MINUTES APPROVED The Secretary presented the minutes of the meeting of March 10, 1949. On motion of Mr. Livingston, the minutes were approved as printed on pages 285 to 308 above. 309
