STATE OF ILLINOIS \ ct: COUNTY OF CHAMPAIGN J b & I, , do hereby certify that I am the duly qualified and acting Secretary of the Board of Trustees of the University of Illinois, and as such official have charge and custody of the minutes of the meetings and records of the Board of Trustees of said University of Illinois, and as such official I further certify that the foregoing resolution attached hereto, entitled "RESOLUTION authorizing and providing for the issue of $800,000 Women's Residence Halls Revenue Bonds of 1049 for the purpose of defraying part of the cost of constructing new women's residence halls located at 1005 South Lincoln Avenue, Urbana, Illinois, prescribing all the details of said bonds, and providing for the collection, segregation and distribution of the revenues of the said new Women's Residence Halls, for the purpose of paying the cost of the maintenance and operation thereof, and payment of the principal of and interest on said revenue bonds," is a true, correct and exact copy of the original resolution adopted by the Board of Trustees of the University of Illinois at its regular meeting held on the day of , 1049. Secretary, Board of Trustees, University of Illinois After reading of the resolution and discussion of its terms and provisions, and on motion of M r . Williamson, the resolution was adopted and the award was made, as recommended, by the following vote of record: Aye, M r . Davis, M r . Fornof, M r s . Holt, Mr. Livingston, Mr. McKelvey, D r . Meyer, Mr. Nickell, Mr. Williamson; no, none; absent, D r . Luken, M r . McLaughlin, Mr. Stevenson. President Fornof designated Mr. Davis and D r . Meyer to sign the bonds as representatives (with the President of the Board) of the Board of Trustees.

RESOLUTION OF APPRECIATION OF GOVERNOR GREEN

A t this point, M r . Williamson presented the following resolution. The Honorable Dwight H. Green is notable among the Governors of Illinois for his consistent interest in education and for his sympathetic understanding of the needs of the University of Illinois. This has been shown in many ways, including the following. He was actively helpful in encouraging the construction of the University of Illinois Airport and in securing additional housing for students. He cooperated effectively in the establishment of the Undergraduate branches at the Navy Pier and in Galesburg. Governor Green has given his enthusiastic support to the movement for a permanent undergraduate division of the University in Chicago. He has been helpful in the development of the Chicago Professional Colleges. He has been personally interested in the welfare of the students and has visited the University on many official and social occasions. Governor Green has approved measures for the expansion of the University both in physical plant and in staff, and he has cooperated in securing the largest appropriations ever given to the University of Illinois, to meet the unprecedented demands for higher education made on the University. In view of all these and many other benefits, the Board of Trustees of the University of Illinois makes record of its keen appreciation of the cooperative, intelligent, and understanding attitude toward the needs and problems of the University consistently maintained by Governor Dwight H. Green, and instructs its Secretary to prepare a scroll setting forth these facts and conveying to Governor
