MEETING OF T H E B O A R D OF TRUSTEES OF THE UNIVERSITY OF ILLINOIS February 2 1 , 1 9 4 8 T h e February meeting of the Board of Trustees of the University of Illinois was held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, F e b r u a r y 21, 1948, at the Blackstone Hotel, in Chicago, according to the following schedule: 10 a.m. —• Executive session, as in committee of the whole. 2 p.m. — Open session. W h e n the Board convened, the following members were present: Mr. Davis, Mr. Fornof, M r s . Holt, Dr. Luken, M r . McKelvey, Dr. Meyer, Mr. Williamson. During the early part of the session, before the arrival of President Livingston, Dr. Meyer acted as Chairman. President Stoddard was present; also Mr. A. J. Janata, Assistant to the President, Professor C. R. Griffith, Provost, Mr. H . E. Cunningham, Secretary, Professor Lloyd Morey, Comptroller, Professor W . E. Britton, Legal Counsel, and during the open session, Mr. J. F . Wright, Director of Public Information. MINUTES APPROVED The Secretary presented the minutes of the meeting of J a n u a r y 8, 1948. On motion of Mr. Fornof, the minutes were approved as printed on pages 947 to 970 above. 971
