MEETING OF THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE UNIVERSITY OF ILLINOIS September 2 6 , 1 9 4 7 The September meeting of the Board of Trustees of the University of Illinois was held at the Blackstone Hotel, in Chicago, on Friday, September 26, 1947, according to the following schedule: 12 m. — Open session. 2:30 p.m. — Executive session as in Committee of the Whole. The following members were present: President Livingston, Mr. Fornof, Mrs. Holt, Dr. Luken, Mr. McKelvey, Mr. McLaughlin, Mr. Williamson; absent, Mr. Davis, Mr. Green, Dr. Meyer, and Mr. Nickell. President Stoddard was present; also Dr. A. C. Ivy, Vice-President in Charge of the Chicago Professional Colleges, Professor C. R. Griffith, Provost, Mr. A. J. Janata, Assistant to the President, Mr. H. E. Cunningham, Secretary, Professor Lloyd Morey, Comptroller, Professor W. E. Britton, Legal Counsel, and, during part of the day, Mr. V. L. Kretschmer, Manager of the Illini Union Building, and Mr. J. F. Wright, Director of Public Information. 805
