5°4 BOARD OF TRUSTEES [August 5 that a contract be awarded to Ernst Hertzberg & Sons for all binding except for the Galesburg Undergraduate Division. The total expenditure involved for the two-year period is approximately $100,000. This company has been doing most of the binding for University of Illinois libraries for a great many years and has always provided good service and quality work. T h e Director of Purchases also recommends that a contract for binding of books for the Galesburg Undergraduate Division be awarded to Pfisterer's Bindery, Galesburg. The total expenditure on this contract will be approximately $1,500. The location of this bindery will result in good service and their price on this group is low. The Director of the Library and the Comptroller concur in this recommendation and I recommend approval. On motion of Mr. Fornof, these recommendations were approved.
