MEETING OF THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE UNIVERSITY OF ILLINOIS June 23, 1947 The June meeting of the Board of Trustees of the University of Illinois was held at the Blackstone Hotel, in Chicago, on Monday, June 23, 1947, according to the following schedule: 12 m. — Executive session as in Committee of the Whole. 3 p.m. — Open session. The following members were present: President Livingston, General Davis, Mr. Fornof, Mrs. Holt, Mr. McLaughlin, Dr. Meyer, Mr. Nickell. Mr. Williamson took his place with the Board at 1:30 p.m. President Stoddard was present; also Dr. A. C. Ivy, Vice-President in Charge of the Chicago Professional Colleges, Professor C. R. Griffith, Provost, Mr. A. J. Janata, Assistant to the President, Mr. H. E. Cunningham, Secretary, Mr. Lloyd Morey, Comptroller, Professor W. E. Britton, Legal Counsel, and, during part of the day, Mr. J. F. Wright, Director of Public Information. MINUTES APPROVED The Secretary presented the minutes of the meetings of April 24 and May 27, 1947. On motion of Mr. McLaughlin, the minutes were approved as printed on pages 333 to 386 above. 387
