HEARING OF CASE O F OTIS TAYLOR

Professor Britton presented the report of the H e a r i n g Committee (Professor R. N . Sullivan, Professor H . W . Bailey, and Professor F . B. Seely) in the proceedings for the discharge of Otis Taylor from the University of Illinois Civil Service. Conclusion of law: The Committee concludes that the unjustified striking of Walter Kieback by Otis Taylor constitutes just cause for discharge from the classified civil service of the State in relation to the University of Illinois. Recommendation: The Committee therefore recommends that the employee, Otis Taylor, be discharged, and that this decision of the Board be certified to the appointing officer and be enforced by him. O n motion of Mr. McKelvey, the defendant in this proceeding was allowed thirty days to file in writing in the office of the Secretary of the Board his objections to the findings, conclusions of law, and recommendations of the H e a r i n g Committee.
