In lieu of Rhetoric i and 2 in the first year, followed by Speech 10 or 1 later, the student may elect D.G.S. la-ib, for 4 hours of credit each semester of the first year. 3 Chemistry 1, Zoology 1, D.G.S. 3a, 3b, or D.G.S. 4a, 4b may be chosen. 3 Completion of the second year of a foreign language will satisfy this requirement,^ if the same foreign language is pursued in the University as is offered for entrance to the College.
