MEETING O F T H E B O A R D OF TRUSTEES OF THE UNIVERSITY OF ILLINOIS January 25, 1947 T h e J a n u a r y meeting of the Board of Trustees of the University of Illinois was held on Saturday, J a n u a r y 25, 1947, at the University Club, 76 East Monroe Street, Chicago, according to the following schedule: 10 a.m. — Executive session, as in Committee of the Whole. 11130 a.m. — Open session. W h e n the Board convened, the following members were present: President Livingston, General Davis, Mr. Fornof, M r s . Grigsby, Mr. McKelvey, Dr. Meyer, Mr. Nickell. Mr. McLaughlin took his place with the Board early in the forenoon. On invitation of the Board, Mrs. Doris S. Holt, Trustee-elect, was present during the day. President Stoddard was present; also Mr. A. J. Janata, Assistant to the President, Mr. H . E. Cunningham, Secretary, Mr. Lloyd Morey, Comptroller, Professor C. R. Griffith, Provost, Professor W . E. Britton, Legal Counsel, Mr. Ernest L. Stouffer, Architect, Mr. Howard A. Hazleton, Business Manager of the Chicago Colleges, and Mr. Norval D. Hodges, Assistant Legal Counsel. Professor Phillips Bradley, Director of the Institute of Labor and Industrial Relations, was present during part of the day. MINUTES APPROVED T h e Secretary presented the minutes of the meeting of December 28, 1946. On motion of Mr. Davis, the minutes were approved as printed on pages 191 to 214 above. 21 5
