Whereas, The Board of Trustees of the University of Illinois is the owner of a strip of land Seventy and One-half (70.5) feet in width running West ( W ) from the West ( W ) right of way line of Route Forty-five (45), being located in the Southwest Quarter ( S W } 4 ) of Section One ( 1 ) , Township Eighteen (18) North, Range Eight (8) East of the Third Principal Meridian, Champaign County, Illinois and Whereas, the State of Illinois Division of Highways proposes to widen Route Forty-five (45) by extending the right of way Twenty-seven (27) feet in a Westerly direction from the West ( W ) line of the right of way at the present time, and Whereas, T h e Board of Trustees of the University of Illinois will benefit by the widening of Route Forty-five (45) in that a safer and better route will be available for automobile traffic to the University of Illinois Airport, and Whereas, the State of Illinois Division of Highways has requested the Board of Trustees of the University of Illinois to dedicate the East ( E ) Twenty-seven (27) feet of the strip of land referred to above for public road purposes; Now, therefore, be it resolved that the Comptroller and the Secretary of the Board of Trustees of the University of Illinois are hereby authorized in behalf of and in the name of the Board of Trustees of the University of Illinois to execute a dedication of right of way for public road purposes of the following described real estate, to-wit: "From the S.W. Cor. of Sec. 1, T. 18 N., R. 8 E. of the 3rd P.M., Champaign County, Illinois, measure east 928.3 ft.; thence N. 6°57' E. 1170.1 ft. to the point of beginning "A." "From the point of beginning " A " measure west 57.4 ft. to point " B " ; thence N. 6°57' E. 70.5 ft. to point " C " ; thence east 57.4 ft. to point " D " ; thence S. 6°S7' W. 70.5 ft. to the point of beginning "A," except that portion lying within the limits of the present highway. "All of the above-described tract of land lies in the S.W.J4 Section 1, T. 18 N., R. 8 E. of the 3rd P.M., Champaign County, Illinois, and contains 0.037 acres, more or less."
