(lying North of the Sangamon River), Section Fourteen (14), Township Eighteen North ( 1 8 N ) , Range Five ( S ) , East of the Third Principal Meridian in Piatt County, Illinois, and Whereas, the Illinois Power Company proposes to construct an electrical distribution system through that land, and Whereas, The Board of Trustees of the University of Illinois will benefit from the construction of such electrical distribution system in that electrical service will be available to certain properties owned by The Board of Trustees, and Whereas, the Illinois Power Company has requested The Board of Trustees of the University of Illinois to grant to it an easement to permit the construction of such electrical distribution system, Now therefore be it resolved, that the Comptroller and the Secretary of The Board of Trustees of the University of Illinois are hereby authorized in behalf and in the name of The Board of Trustees of the University of Illinois to execute an easement to the Illinois Power Company to permit such Company, its successors and assigns, to enter upon the land owned by The Board of Trustees of the University of Illinois and described as "That part of the West One : half (W$4) of the Southwest Quarter ( S W J 4 ) (lying North of the Sangamon River), Section Fourteen (14), Township Eighteen North ( 1 8 N ) , Range Five ( 5 ) , East of the Third Principal Meridian in Piatt County, Illinois," and to construct, operate, repair, maintain, patrol, remove, relocate, and reconstruct thereon an electric transmission or distribution line or system, including the right to cut and trim trees and shrubbery and remove other obstacles to the extent necessary to keep them clear of said electric line. EASEMENT FOR TELEPHONE CABLE ON WRIGHT FARMS (7) The Illinois Bell Telephone Company has requested permission to install and maintain an underground cable along the south edge of Wright Farm No. 3 in DeKalb County for a distance of approximately 260 rods. It has offered to pay fifty cents a rod for this privilege, plus reimbursement for damages to fences and growing crops arising from the construction and maintenance of this system. The Dean of the College of Agriculture and the Comptroller recommend that the Illinois Bell Telephone Company be granted an easement. I concur and recommend the adoption of the attached resolution. O n m o t i o n of M r . M c L a u g h l i n , t h e f o l l o w i n g r e s o l u t i o n w a s adopted as recommended. Whereas, The Board of Trustees of the University of Illinois is the owner of the South One-half ( S j 4 ) , of the South One-half ( S ^ ) , of the South Onehalf (Sy2), of the South One-half ( S j 4 ) of Section Nineteen (19), Township Forty North ( 4 0 N ) , Range Three East (3E) of the Third Principal Meridian, located in the County of DeKalb and State of Illinois, and Whereas, The Illinois Bell Telephone Company proposes to construct a communication system through that land, and Whereas, Such construction, if permitted, will assist in the distribution of reasonable long distance telephone service in the State of Illinois, and Whereas, The Illinois Bell Telephone Company has requested The Board of Trustees of the University of Illinois to grant it an easement to permit the construction of such communication system for the consideration of fifty cents (500) per rod, Now therefore be it resolved, That the Comptroller and the Secretary of The Board of Trustees of the University of Illinois are hereby authorized in behalf and in the name of The Board of Trustees of the University of Illinois to execute an easement to the Illinois Bell Telephone Company to permit such Company, its successors and assigns, to enter upon the land owned by The Board of Trustees of the University of Illinois and described as "The South One-half ( S ^ ) , of the South One-half (Sy2), of the South Onehalf (Sy2), of the South One-half ( S J 4 ) of Section Nineteen (19), Township Forty North ( 4 0 N ) , Range Three East ( 3 E ) of the Third Principal Meridian, located in the County of DeKalb, State of Illinois," and to construct, operate, maintain, replace and remove a communication system consisting of such underground cables, wires, conduit, drains, and splicing boxes
