Miss Laura M. Weber, six hundred and forty acres of farm land in L a Salle County. (Reported to the Board March 30, 1955, Minutes pages 257 and 258.) 2. General Motors Corporation Scholarships. The University of Illinois has received five undergraduate General Motors College Scholarships. (Reported to the Board March 30, 1955, Minutes pages 270 and 271.) The stipends of these scholarships have been listed in the general report of gifts and grants. 3. Rockefeller Foundation, $10,000 for general support of the International Conference of Agricultural Economists held at Helsinki, Finland, August, 1955. (Reported to the Board March 30, 1955, Minutes page 271.) 4. Ford Foundation, $146,327 to the University and for the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Turkey for the benefit of secondary school education in that country. (Reported to the Board March 30, 1955, Minutes page 271.) 5. Estate of Dan S. Crego, DeKalb, a bequest of $5,000 for medical research. (Reported to the Board September 23, 1955, Minutes page 799) Summary of 1954 Achievement Fund The income of the Illini Achievement Fund of the University for the calendar year 1954 amounted to $86,410.80. Of this total $64,911.16 was received in sums designated for specific projects, and $21,409.64 was received in undesignated gifts.
