Jennings, C.P.A., Senior Partner, Price-Waterhouse and Company, Chicago, to the Board of Examiners in Accountancy for a period of three years beginning July 1, 1955, replacing Mr. Louis M. ENGLISH REQUIREMENT FOR FOREIGN STUDENTS (7) T h e University's policy requiring proficiency in English of foreign students was adopted by the Board of Trustees on recommendation of the University Senate in 1946. T h e judgment of this proficiency was placed under the jurisdiction of the Senate Committee on Student English and has been exercised in conjunction with the college in which the student is registered. The University Senate recommends that jurisdiction over foreign students' English instruction now be vested in the Department of English. The Committee, however, will retain jurisdiction over the English Qualifying Examination for foreign students, since it has the responsibility for administering the Qualifying Examination for all other students.
