development, building problems (engineering), community and city planning, building construction quality control and methods, and rural economic problems. It will be necessary for at least one or more University staff members to spend varying amounts of time in Colombia. No definite assignments have been agreed upon, but personnel considering this work are in the Department of City Planning and Landscape Architecture and in the Small H o m e s Council, and some in other areas would be recruited from outside the University. F O A has proposed a two-year contract under which the University will receive $225,000 for all direct and indirect costs of the project. Professor J. T. Lendrum, Director of the Small Homes Council, has agreed to direct the work, and the project has the approval of the Small Homes Council Executive Committee, the Dean of the College of Fine and Applied Arts, and the Comptroller. I recommend approval and that the Comptroller and the Secretary of the Board be authorized to execute such a contract.

On motion of Mr. Johnston, this contract was approved and the Comptroller and the Secretary of the Board were authorized to execute the same.
