MEETING OF THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE UNIVERSITY OF ILLINOIS November 29, 1954 On call of the President, a special meeting of the Board of Trustees of the University of Illinois was held in the Blackstone Hotel, Chicago, Illinois, on Monday, November 29, 1954, beginning at .10:00 a.m. The following members were present: Mr. Cushman B. Bissell, Mr. Harold E. Grange, Mr. Wirt Herrick, Mr. Robert Z. Hickman, Mrs. Doris S. Holt, Mr. Wayne A. Johnston, Mr. Park Livingston, Mr. H. B. Megran, Mr. Vernon L. Nickell, Mrs. Frances B. Watkins. Also present were Mr. A. J. Janata, Secretary of the Board, and the following representatives of committees which have been assisting the Board of Trustees in the selection of a President of the University: Professor Tom S. Hamilton, Chairman, Professor W. C. Huntington, Professor C. M. Kneier, and Professor Charles A. Knudson of the University Senate Committee; Messrs. Amos H. Watts, Chairman, and Joseph B. Campbell of the Alumni Association Committee; Mr. Ronald M. Kimball of the Citizens Committee. 159
