MEETING OF THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE UNIVERSITY OF ILLINOIS June 27, 1956 The June meeting of the Board of Trustees of the University of Illinois was held in the Sheraton-Blackstone Hotel, Chicago, Illinois, on Wednesday, June 27, 1956, beginning at 10:30 a.m., Central Daylight Saving Time. The following members were present: Mr. Cushman B. Bissell, Mr. Wirt Herrick, Mrs. Doris S. Holt, Mr. Wayne A. Johnston, Mr. Park Livingston, Mr. H. B. Megran, Mr. Kenney E. Williamson. Superintendent Vernon L. Nickell, Governor William G. Stratton, Mr. Timothy W. Swain, and Mrs. Frances B. Watkins were absent. Also present were President David D. Henry, Provost Henning Larsen, Dean C. C. Caveny of the Chicago Undergraduate Division, Mr. Ralph F. Lesemann, Legal Counsel, Mr. J. F. Wright, Director of Public Relations, Mr. Perry L. Smithers, Manager of Public Relations at the Chicago Undergraduate Division; and Messrs. H. O. Farber, Comptroller, C. W. Weldon, Treasurer, and A. J. Janata, Secretary of the Board. 1071
