President Willard was requested to ask Senators Lucas and Brooks t o act as a special committee to convey to President Truman the invitation of t h e University to attend the dedication. Mr. A. C. Meyer and Senator Peters were requested to take u p with local interests in Champaign and Urbana t h e matter of entertainment, particularly a dinner on Friday night, and to expand the Entertainment Committee by adding subcommittees from t h e service clubs, etc. Various features of the dedication were discussed, including t h e speakers, list of guests, invitations, policing traffic, exhibits, air show, etc., and the subcommittees were requested to proceed with their arrangements.
