Students who complete this curriculum may elect to take the A.B. degree. Students are required to complete one teaching minor consisting of a minimum of 16 semester hours. In addition, the beginning teacher of Spanish may need to be prepared to teach a second minor, requiring a minimum of 16 hours. Minor teaching subjects which constitute desirable teaching combinations with Spanish include English, Latin, and history. A double major in Spanish and English with no minor and a double major in Spanish and Latin a with a minor in English are also recommended. Credit earned in Social Science I is counted toward Spanish major.
