RETIREMENT O F P R O F E S S O R E . T. ROBBINS (9) Professor E . T . Robbins of the Department of Animal Husbandry has requested that h e be retired from active service on September I, 194S, under the provision in the law creating the University Retirement System of Illinois which permits retirement "on or after the attainment of age sixty-five (65) in exceptional cases and for substantial cause at the request of t h e Employee and upon certification of t h e Employer." Professor Robbins is 66 years old and at the end of t h e current academic year will have been in t h e service of the University for thirty years, including eight years as farm adviser and twenty-two years as livestock extension specialist. I recommend approval and that Professor Robbins be retired September 1, 1945, with t h e rank of Professor Emeritus.

On motion of Mr. McKelvey, this retirement was approved as recommended.
