MEETING OF THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE UNIVERSITY OF ILLINOIS September 2 9 , 1 9 4 4 The September meeting of the Board of Trustees of the University of Illinois was held at the University Club, 76 East Monroe Street, Chicago, at 4 p.m. on Friday, September 29, 1944. When the Board convened, the following members were present: President Livingston, Mr. Fornof, Mrs.' Grigsby, Mr. Jensen, Mr. Karraker, Mr. McKelvey. As indicated in the minutes, Mr. Davis and Dr. Meyer took their places with the Board later in the afternoon. President Willard was present; also Mr. A. J. Janata, Assistant to the President, Mr. H. E. Cunningham, Secretary, Mr. Lloyd Morey, Comptroller, and Mr. J. F. Wright, Director of Public Information. MINUTES APPROVED The Secretary presented the minutes of the meeting of July 17, 1944, with ,the adjourned session of July 18, 1944, and, for record, of the meetings of the Executive Committee of July 13, 18, and 25, 1944. On motion of Mr. Jensen, the minutes were approved and received for record as printed on pages 1 to 202 above. 203
