Minutes for S.W.E. Meeting August 28, 1973 7t00 P.M. University of Illinois Student Section The Student Section of fhe Society of Women Engineers met on August 28, 1973* at 7s00 P.M. in the Electrical. Engineering Building. Betty Richards, President of SWE, introduced the sponsors, officers, and briefly told the objectives of SWE. The October conference of 200 to 300 high school future women engineers was discussed and volunteers were assigned duties as hostesses. Betty Richards discussed last summers National Convention in California and announced that next years Convention will be held in Texas. Engineering Open House will be held in March and everyone is now thinking about a topic for a display, A brief explanation of the pnorpose and a description of Engineering Open House was given.
