University of Illinois Student Section

The Student Section of the Society of Women Engineers met on September 17, I968, at 6:30 p.m. in I65 Electrical Engineering Building. The meeting was called to order by Liz Koranyi. No minutes wwre read . Liz introduced John Barra, circulation manager for Technograph. He was there to inform the girls of the plans for selling Technograph subscriptions to the engineering faculty. Don Hanson ,editor of Technograph, told of the commission for SWE for selling the subscriptions.

The meeting then went into a panel dicussion . Gloria Gaban talked on the value of study time used wisely. Kay Whitlock informed the group of the musical organizations on campus. Kathy Krai adivsed the members to join engineering organizations in their own fields. Ruth Male told of the services available to students at McKinley Hospital and the Student Services Building. NancyBarker gave a report on the financial aides available to students. The dicussion ended with a report on the religous organizations on campusby Melba MacCalister.

The meeting was adjourned and refreshments were servetf.
