She passed out some flyers about an informal discussion on December 3 at 4:00 in 100 Met. & Min. Information about it is posted. Officer of the Week: JOAN MOFFITT! — Yeah! Thanks for helping out with the Resume Book! United Technologies has donated $1000 for the "Student Scribe Award." The award is designed to assist SWE Student Sections in promoting engineering as an exciting career for young women. The elections will still be on. December 5th. The mandatory meeting for prospective candidates was changed from November 29th to December 4th. The meeting and the elections will be held at 5:00. We invited Professor Thurston to our meeting so we could get her more involved. The biggest factor in our relationship with her is lack of time. She suggested searching out a tenured Professor. Professor Thurston did offer herself on an individual basis. Rita Rockmill from Union Carbide will be speaking at Dec. 5th's meeting. Friday, December 7th at 4:00 at Papadell's on Green will be our last informal get together. All officer's be there!!
