Union Carbide had lunch with Ruta and Lisa W. and gave us $200. Thank you notes have been sent. If anyone wanted to go to Engineering Council's Leadership Conference, tell Karen before Nov. 1st. Nominations for Pierce & Everitt Awards are due Nov. 8th. Lists of committee members need to be turned in to Karen as soon as possible Newsletters were sent to other SWE's in our region. Next newsletter's deadline is Thursday. Newsletter is coming out Nov. 11. Tomorrow is a meeting for interested counselors. will be Friday. Interviews I. Karen II. Lisa W. III. IV. V. VI. Lisa V. Darla Karen W. Kim For all officers that got SWE pins, turn in " $5 check to a Darla as soon as possible. First EOH meeting was held Oct. 22. The second one will be on Nov. 5th at 7:00 p.m. Computer update is just about finished. We now have one industry file organized with the companys' names in alphabetical order. Publicity meeting Oct. 30. Cost of publicity'was discussed for Technical Career Night. Resume book is smaller than usual so her committee is calling juniors and seniors and asking for their resumes. Technical Career Night is going, well. We have 18 companies and 10 have paid their fees. Letters were sent out to all women students telling them of Career Night. Confirmation letters are being sent to participating companies. VII. Denise VIII. Ruta IX. Regional Conference Karen Lindholm and Lati Conner drove to Ann Arbor on Oct. 18-20 for the Regional H Conference. We have made a bid for next year's regional conference. The national conference in Hartford was discussed as was the Technical paper contest. We attended 3 seminars, a luncheon, and a banquet at which the National SWE president, Susan Whatley spoke.
