Officer Reports A. Industrial Vice Pres. - Ruta Sidrys Resumes are now due Mon. Oct. 14 due to late mailing. The Resume Book Committee meets every Monday at 7:00 p.m. The Technical Career Night Committee will begin next Tues. at 7:00 p.m. Ruta encouraged all members to use our industry file in the office. B. Collegiate Vice Pres. - Karen Webber The T-shirts are in and the next batch of orders will go out soon. The Office of Women's Studies sends SWE many notices. Karen will post these outside of the SWE office. Engineering Open House committee will begin meeting Oct. 22 at 6:30 p.m. in Rm. 320 Eng. Hall. C. Conference Vice Pres. - Julie Seman SWE will be selling balloons for Sweetest Day Oct. 18. We need two members to man the booth every hour from 10:00 a.m.to 4:00 p.m. The booth will be on the Quad. The sign-up sheet was filled & reminder cards were given out. D. Administrative Vice Pres. - Kim Stump The updating of our computer file of industries is still going on. Kim needs 2 more people to help her. E. Secretary - Lisa Winger Newsletters went out last week. Lisa needs 2 people to help her distribute the next month's newsletter. F. Treasurer - Darla Root Darla is our newly appointed treasurer & will be taking over Carissa's spot this weekend. G. Publicity - Denise Hogstrom Denise thanked all her 'poster' people and encouraged all members to take advantage of SWE opportunities both educational & social. H. Engineering Council Reps. - Sandy Skowron, Lisa Vanek No report. Job Opportunities Julie Seman, acting for Karen Lindholm who had laryngitis, told members of job opportunities, scholarships, and Open Houses. Misc. Announcements A. SWE Illio pictures will be taken at 301 Eng. Hall at 6:00 on Oct. 21st. B. Region H Conference The Region H Conference will be held on Oct 18-20 in Ann Arbor, MI. The conf. goes from Fri. evening and ends Sunday morning. Members were told to see Karen if they were interested in going. II. III.
