President's Report Cont'd C. Senate Our engineering representative is Karen Swaback. Their office is in 299 I.U. Any gripes, see them. D. Honeywell Contest Winners receive $2000, a paid trip to the awards banquet & a 1986 Summer job offer. Students write 2 essays on the future of 1) electronic communication 2) energy 3) aerospace 4) computer science 5) manufacturing automation or 6) office automation. The third essay is the societal impact of the changes you have predicted. Deadline is December 31, 1985. E. Elections for Administrative Vice President and Engineering Council Representative will be held on Dec. 4th, our last meeting of 1985. F. Knights of St. Pat Nominations Karen Lindholm and Ruta Sidrys were nominated to be Knights of St. Pat. Good luck to them. Speaker Tina Vujovich from Cummins Engine Company spoke for. 20 minutes and then opened the floor for questions. She talked on handling her job and family and pointed out 5 hints for success. 1. Know where your strengths and weaknesses are. 2. Don't misrepresent yourself. 3. Be prepared to work harder than men. 4. There are men that aren't prepared to work with women. 5.
