The new ductwork will be of stainless steel and airtight construction. The improvement will prevent the escape of disease bacteria contagious to humans and permit chemical sterilization of the exhaust systems. It is further recommended that all contracts other than the contract for ventilation work be assigned to the contractor for that work, making the total of his contract price $27,457; and that an agreement be entered into with the Zack Company for the assignment of these other contracts for $596, which amount is included in the contract price, being the amount bid by that Company for service charge for supervision of other contracts assigned to the contractor for the ventilation work. Funds for this work are available from a Board appropriation, Medical Research Laboratory, Replacement of Ducts. A schedule of all bids received is submitted herewith and a copy is being filed with the Secretary of the Board. I concur. O n m o t i o n of M r .
