Mr. V. L . Kretschmer, Director of Auxiliary Services, reported on current housing capacities for students at Urbana-Champaign in relation to the enrollment for the first semester of 1962-63. A copy of his report has been filed with the Secretary for record.

FIXED-BASE OPERATION AT UNIVERSITY OF ILLINOIS-WILLARD AIRPORT

President Clement reported he h a s received a request from Astro, Inc. — Aeronautical Sales, Training, a n d Research Organization — of Champaign, for a hearing on its application to the University for establishment of a fixed-base operation at the University of Illinois-Willard Airport. M r . Clement stated that he will refer this request to the Committee on Buildings a n d Grounds for a hearing.

INSPECTION OF NEW BUILDINGS

The Secretary reported that M r s . Watkins, M r . Dilliard, and M r . Williamson made an inspection on the afternoon of November 8 of three new buildings recently completed on the Urbana-Champaign campus: Student Services Building, Institute of Labor a n d Industrial Relations Building, a n d the Health Services Addition to McKinley Hospital.

DEGREES CONFERRED

The Secretary presented for record the list of degrees conferred at Urbana, Illinois, as of October 15, 1962, on recommendation of the Urbana-Champaign Senate, a n d requested authority to include them in the minutes of October 17, 1962. On motion of M r . Dilliard, these degrees were conferred, as recommended, a n d authority w a s given as requested.
