PURCHASE OF PROPERTY AT 1 2 1 0 WEST CALIFORNIA AVENUE. URBAN A (1) The Director of the Physical Plant and the Vice-President and Comptroller recommend that the Board of Trustees request the Illinois Building Authority to purchase for the University the property at 1210 West California Avenue, Urbana, at a price not to exceed $100,000, in accordance with the Illinois Building Authority Act. The property consists of a lot approximately 78.5 feet wide by 184 feet (14,522 square feet) deep and is improved with a three-story and basement brick apartment building with ten apartment units. The land area is adjacent to the new Morrill Hall and will ultimately be used for expansion of the biological sciences complex. Until the land is needed for building construction, the property can be used for temporary offices plus parking.
