WILLIAM WOODRUFF, Visiting Professor of Economics, for the academic year 1960-61, at a salary of $9,000 (E), Appointments to Nonacademic Staff The Director of Nonacademic Personnel reports the following appointments to supervisory positions of upper level responsibility. 1. KAREN R. GARNER, Assistant Food Production Manager, Mini Union, beginning June 1, 1960, at an an Dual salary of $4,200. 2. EDWARD T. GBAENING, Assistant Examiner, Admissions and Records, beginning May 16, I960, at an annual salary of $5,400, 3. JOHN W. RICE, Hospital Administrator, McKinley Hospital, beginning June 1, I960, at an annual salary of $7,500.

On motion of Mr. Hughes, these appointments were confirmed.

APPOINTMENT TO BOARD OF EXAMINERS IN ACCOUNTANCY

(7) The Committee on Accountancy recommends the appointment of Mr. William M, Emery, partner in the law firm of McDermott, Will, and Emery, 111 West Monroe Street, Chicago, Illinois, as a member of the Board of Examiners in Accountancy for a period of three years beginning July I, 1960, to succeed Mr. George Ragland, Jr., whose term has expired.

I concur.

(8) At its meeting on February 24, I960, the Board of Trustees approved the appointment of new members of the University of Illinois Citizens Committee for a period ot three years beginning January 1, 1960.
