(22) In accordance with the By-Laws of the Board of Trustees, the Treasurer of the University has submitted a report of receipts and disbursements of University funds in his custody for the period March 1, I960, to February 28, 1961, certified by the Comptroller. A copy of this report was sent to each member of the Board of Trustees prior to today's meeting, and a copy is filed with the Secretary of the Board.

ACQUISITION O F PROPERTY AT 6 0 S EAST DANIEL STREET, CHAMPAIGN

(23) The property of the Cosmopolitan Club of the University of Illinois, a student organization, at 605 East Daniel Street, Champaign, is on the market, the University's long-range campus development plan includes acquisition of this property. The Board of Trustees authorized negotiations with official representatives of the Club for the purchase of its property within appraised valuations, and with the understanding that if it can not be purchased through negotiations, «je Gub be notified that condemnation proceedings will be instituted by the University for the acquisition of the property, , Subsequently negotiations have been carried on with the Cosmopolitan Club °i the University of Illinois, but the Club is unwilling to sell to the University at a reasonable price, A^fdingly, the Director of the Physical Plant and the Vice-President and r ^-Mttptroller recommend adoption of the following resolutic authorizing conaVn>1ution nation proceedings.
