RECESS IN EXECUTIVE SESSION On motion of Mr. Hughes, an executive session was ordered, to be held after a recess, for consideration of reports and recommendations relating to property acquisitions. At this point the Board recessed for an inspection of the new Central Food Stores Building and the new building of the National Council of Teachers of English, The Board reconvened, in executive session, at 2:30 p.m. The same members of the Board, officers of the Board, and officers of the University were present as recorded at the beginning of these minutes, with the exception of Mr. Timothy W. Swain and Mr. Joseph S. Begando, who asked to be excused. The Board resumed consideration of reports and recommendations from the President of the University,

PROPERTY ACQUISITIONS

At the request of the President, Director C. S. Havens presented the following recommendations. PURCHASE OF PROPERTY AT S I 2 EAST CHALMERS STREET, CHAMPAIGN The University has recently been offered the property at 512 East Chalmers Street, Champaign, at a price of $19,950, The property is a lot, 35 feet by 59 feet with a two-story, plus basement aw attic, brick house. It is in the area of long-range campus expansion as part of»
