will be made over a period of years, and the University of Illinois Foundation has agreed to serve as Trustee for the University in the conveyance and operation of ihe property. The gift is designated as the "Hott Memorial Center for Continuing Education," and the residence will be used for off-campus conferences, workshops, and other meetings, in the same way as Robert Allerton House. With the approval of the Committee on Buildings and Grounds of the Board of Trustees, I have accepted this gift and request confirmation of my action. I also recommend that the Comptroller and the Secrelaryof the Board be authorized to execute such documents as may be necessary in implementing the conveyance of the property to the University, O n motion of M r s . Watkins, the action of the President was confirmed and authority was given as requested. O n motion of M r . Herrick, the Secretary was instructed to send a message to M r . a n d M r s . H o t t expressing the appreciation of the Board of Trustees for their splendid gift.
