LEAVES OF ABSENCE FENVES, STEVEN J., Assistant Professor of Civil Engineering, in the College of Engineering — leave of absence, without pay, September I, 1962, through August 31, 1963, so that he may serve as Associate Professor at Massachusetts Institute of Technology during that period. GREENWOOD, GEORGE W., Research Associate in Civil Engineering, in the Bureau of Community Planning and in the Physical Plant Department — leave of absence, without pay, from June 16, 1962, through August 31, 1963, for the purpose of graduate study on a National Science Foundation Faculty Fellowship. H A N N A H , HAROLD W., Professor of Veterinary Medical Law (College of Veterinary Medicine) and of Agricultural Law (Agricultural Economics) — leave of absence, without pay, for three months from September 1, 1962, so that he may serve during this period and the summer of 1962 as a consultant on the organization of a planning unit in the Ministry of Agriculture of the government of Pakistan. HERUM, FLOYD L., Assistant Professor of Agricultural Engineering, in the Extension Service in Agriculture and Home Economics and in the Agricultural Experiment Station — leave of absence, without pay, for one year from September 1, 1962, so that he may continue his graduate studies at Purdue University under a National Science Foundation Faculty Fellowship grant. NARASIMHAN, RANGASWAMY, Research Associate in the Digital Computer Laborat o r y — leave of absence, without pay, for one month from April 17, 1962. PINES, DAVID, Professor of Electrical Engineering and of Physics, in the College of Engineering — leave of absence, without pay, from September 1, 1962, through February 28, 1963, in addition to his sabbatical leave of absence from March 1 through August 31, 1963, so that he may utilize the full year for studies abroad under a Guggenheim fellowship. PRANGER, ROBERT J., Assistant Professor of Political Science — leave of absence, without pay, from September 1, 1962, through August 31, 1963, so that he may work under a Social Science Research Council grant during that period. WATTENBERG, ALBERT, Research Professor of Physics, in the Engineering Experiment Station — leave of absence, without pay, for six months from September 1, 1962, in addition to his sabbatical leave of absence for six months from March 1, 1963, so that he may have a full year for research and study abroad under a National Science Foundation Senior Postdoctoral Fellowship. WILLIAMS, SHELDON W., Associate Professor of Agricultural Marketing (Agricultural Economics)—additional leave of absence, without pay, April 1 through April 30, 1962.

CANCELLATION OF SABBATICAL LEAVE OF ABSENCE

KIRK, SAMUEL A., Professor of Education and of Psychology, and Director of the Institute for Research on Exceptional Children — leave of absence granted him for six months from August IS, 1962, cancelled without prejudice. J U N E AND JULY MEETINGS

President Clement announced that the next two meetings of the Board are scheduled to be held on June 20, 1962, and July 18, 1962; and that the Board has already voted to hold the June meeting in Urbana. On motion of Mrs. Watkins, the Board voted to hold the July meeting in Chicago, Illinois, on Wednesday, July 18, 1962, at an hour and place to be determined by the President and Secretary of the Board.
