C O N T R A C T F O R E N G I N E E R I N G S E R V I C E S ON STORM AND SANITARY S E W E R S AND W A T E R MAINS (26) The Director of the Physical Plant and the Vice-President and Comptroller recommend employment of Wilson and Anderson, Consulting Engineers, Champaign, for the engineering services to design the construction of, and to write the specifications for, sanitary and storm sewers and water mains to service the new buildings for the College of Commerce and Business Administration and the College of Education, and the Illinois Street Residence Halls. Payments for these services will be on the basis of Schedule A of Minimum Fees of the Illinois Society of Professional Engineers, exclusive of the services of a resident engineer for field inspection: Cost of Construction Basic Fee First 12.00 per cent $ 50 000 9.00 per cent Next 100 000 7.50 per cent Next ISO 000 6.50 per cent Next 200 000 6.00 per cent Next 500 000 5.50 per cent Next 1 000 000 5.00 per cent All over 2 000 000 The total estimated cost will be approximately $10,000 for the engineering services on storm and sanitary sewers and water mains for the Commerce and Education Buildings and $10,000 for the engineering services on the same utilities for the residence halls. Funds are available in the state capital appropriations from the Universities Building Fund. Submitted herewith are supporting memoranda from the Physical Plant Department, copies of which are being filed with the Secretary of the Board for record. The total construction and installation cost of correction of electrical deficiencies in these buildings is estimated to be $245,000.
