ALLEN, Professor of Ceramic Engineering and of Nuclear Engineering (C) — leave of absence, without pay, for Semester I 1967-68, in order to gather and organize material for a new course in nuclear ceramics. JAMES W . CAREY, Assistant Professor of Journalism and Research Assistant Professor of Communications, College of Journalism and Communications — leave of absence, without pay, for Semester II 1967-68, in order to complete research and to teach at Pennsylvania State University. CHARLES E. CATON, Associate Professor of Philosophy — leave of absence, without pay, for Semester I I 1967-68, to accept a visiting teaching position at Purdue University. MORRIS DAVIS, Associate Professor of Political Science — leave of absence, without pay, for Semester I I 1967-68, in order to do research in connection with a Guggenheim Fellowship. NUEL P . DAVIS, Assistant Professor of English — leave of absence, without pay, on 2/$ time, for Semester II 1966-67, to prepare a book for publication. ALICE G. FREDERICK D. WRIGHT, Professor of General Engineering and of Mining Engineering, College of Engineering — leave of absence, without pay, for the academic year 1967-68, to teach at the University of Kentucky. COMMENT BY MR. HOWARD W. CLEMENT ON REDUCTION OF MINIMUM AGE REQUIREMENT RELATING TO OFF-CAMPUS HOUSING M r . Clement, in commenting upon the item in which the Board approved a reduction in the minimum age requirement relating to off-campus housing, expressed concern that inspection of such housing by the cities of Champaign and U r b a n a be of sufficiently high quality with respect to sanitation, safety, a n d so forth. H e suggested that some analysis be given to the question by way of comparing the standards and procedures carried out by the Cities and, heretofore, by the University. T h e President replied that such a report would be forthcoming. O n motion of M r . Swain, the Board adjourned.
