important. The A r t Studio Building will meet the critical need of the Department of Art for more faculty studios. The Department is at present unable to supply the majority of the faculty with the kind of personal working environment and facilities necessary for research and creative endeavors. Funds are available in the Universities Building Fund and 1965-67 state capital appropriations. Submitted herewith is a report from the Physical Plant Department, including a schedule of bids received, a copy of which is being filed with the Secretary of the Board for record. I concur.

On motion of Mr. Swain, these contracts were awarded by the following vote: Aye, Mr. Clement, Mr. Grimes, Mr. Hahn, Mr. Hughes, Mr. Johnston, Mr. Pogue, Mr. Swain, Dr. Weatherly; no, none; absent, Mr. Jones, Governor Kerner, Mr. Page.

CONTRACTS FOR REMODELING IN NOYES LABORATORY. URBANA (18) The Director of the Physical Plant and the Vice-President and Comptroller recommend award of the following contracts, based on the percentage bids for contractors' fees, for remodeling five rooms on the first floor of Noyes Laboratory for use as an Electronics Shop and a Computer Laboratory for the Department of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering, the award in each case to the lowest bidder.
