UNIVERSITY OF ILLINOIS

1095

The campus businessmen have requested the University to participate in this project in the amount of $8,000. The project will benefit the University by providing additional metered parking in the campus area and by improving the flow of traffic on Green Street. Because of the direct benefits to the Illini Union Bookstore, the President of the University, with the concurrence of appropriate administrative officers, recommends that participation in the project be approved in principle and that the cost be funded through the operating budget of the Illini Union Bookstore.

On motion of Mr. Hughes, this recommendation was approved by the following vote: Aye, Mr. Clement, Mr. Grimes, Mr. Hahn, Mr. Hughes, Mr. Jones, Mr. Swain, Mr. Williamson; no, none; absent, Mr. Page, Mr. Pogue, Governor Shapiro, Dr. Weatherly.
