954 BOARD OF TRUSTEES PRESIDENT'S REPORT [March 20 President H e n r y presented a report on selected topics of current interest, copies of which were distributed at the meeting, and a copy was filed with the Secretary of the Board. BUDGET FOR 19 6 8 SUMMER QUARTER AND FACULTY APPOINTMENTS. CHICAGO CIRCLE (1) Submitted herewith are the budget and appointments to the faculty for the 1968 Summer Quarter at Chicago Circle from June 17 through August 30, 1968. The total budget is for salaries in the amount of $760,000. The salaries recommended are computed on the basis of one-third of the salary of the academic year for a full quarter of service, with proportionate amounts for shorter periods or for part-time service. I recommend that these appointments to the summer quarter staff at Chicago Circle be approved as submitted, and that the President of the University be authorized to accept resignations and make such changes and adjustments and additional appointments as are necessary in accordance with the needs of the University within the allocations of funds indicated.
