Reappointments From the Faculty WILLIAM A. FERGUSON, Associate Professor of Mathematics ( H e has served on the Board since November, 1967.) JAMES R. SHIPLEY, Professor and Head of the Department of A r t (He has served on the Board since 1969.) H. S. STILLWELL, Professor and Head of the Department of Aeronautical and Astronautical Engineering (Professor Stillwell is also the University of Illinois Faculty Representative in the Western Intercollegiate Conference, and his appointment as a faculty representative on the Board of Directors of the Athletic Association is an ex officio assignment.) VERNON K. ZIMMERMAN, Professor of Accountancy, Director of Center for International Education and Research in Accountancy, and Associate Director of International Programs and Studies (He has served on the Board since 1968.) From the Alumni Association RALPH S. JOHKS, Class of 1925, Managing Partner, Haskins and Sells, Certified Public Accountants, Chicago; President of the University of Illinois Alumni Association (Mr. John's appointment on the Board is for the period of his tenure as President of the University of Illinois Alumni Association.) CLIFFORD L. PETERSON, Class of 1941, Vice President, Deere and Company, Moline (He has served on the Board since 1969.) New Appointments From the Faculty ROLLIN G. On motion of Mr. Steger, these appointments were approved.

DIRECTORSHIP O F ADMISSIONS AND RECORDS, CHICAGO CIRCLE (7) T h e Chancellor at Chicago Circle has recommended the appointment of William C. Price, presently Dean of Admissions and Registrar and Assistant Professor of Education at the University of Oklahoma, as Director of Admissions and Records, beginning July 1, 1970, on a twelve-month service basis, and Associate Professor of Education on indefinite tenure, at an annual salary of $27,000. The appointment will fill the vacancy which was created by the resignation of Director Leslie W . Sandy. The recommendation is made after consultation with the staff of the Office of Admissions and Records, the Deans' Council, the Administrative Council, the Senate Committee on Educational Policy, the University Committee on Admissions, the Committee of Associate and Assistant Deans, and the Neighborhood Relations Council. The Executive Vice President and Provost endorses this recommendation. I recommend approval.

On motion of Mr. Clement, this appointment was approved.

HEADSHIP O F T H E DEPARTMENT O F E N G L I S H , CHICAGO CIRCLE (8) The Dean of the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences has recommended to the Chancellor at Chicago Circle the appointment of Mr. John Curtis Johnson, presently Associate Professor and Acting Head of the Department of English, as Professor of English on indefinite tenure and Head of the Department of English,
