REJECTION O F BIDS FOR SITE IMPROVEMENTS AT ILLINI MEADOWS A N D AIR CONDITIONING ILLINOIS STREET RESIDENCE HALLS. URBANA (12) The President of the University, with the concurrence of appropriate administrative officers, and pursuant to the provisions of Section 15 (e) (2) of the General Rules Concerning University Organization and Procedure, reports the rejection of bids for site improvements at Illini Meadows and air conditioning the Illinois Street Residence Halls, Urbana. The bids were rejected for the following reasons: 1. The Illini Meadows project has been deferred to the 1969-71 biennium in order to proceed with more urgent site and utilities distribution projects. 2. The bids for air conditioning the Illinois Street Residence Halls exceeded the budget by approximately 70 per cent. T h e bid documents will be revised and reissued and will provide for the work to be performed during the summer of 1969. T h i s report w a s received for record. This bequest in the amount of $11,943.59 has now been received. It is not restricted as to use. I recommend that the bequest be accepted, that the Director of the Jane Addams Graduate School of Social W o r k be authorized to approve expenditure of the fund, and that it be temporarily invested until the use is determined.
