HEADSHIP OF THE DEPARTMENT OF PSYCHOLOGY, CHICAGO CIRCLE (3) The Dean of the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences, Chicago Circle, has recommended to the Chancellor the appointment of D r . H a r r y S. Upshaw, presently Professor of Psychology and Acting Head of the Department of Psychology, as Professor of Psychology on indefinite tenure and Head of the Department, beginning September 1, 1969, on an academic year service basis, at an annual salary of $19,500. The nomination of Dr. Upshaw is supported by the consultative committee" for the headship of the department and by the faculty of the Department of Psychology. The Executive Vice President and Provost, the Chancellor, and the Dean of the Graduate College concur. I recommend approval.

On motion of Mr. Pogue, this appointment was approved.

HEADSHIP O F THE DEPARTMENT OF ANATOMY. MEDICAL CENTER

(4) The Dean of the College of Medicine has recommended to the Chancellor at the Medical Center campus the appointment of Dr. Keen A. Rafferty, presently Associate Professor at T h e Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine, as Professor of Anatomy on indefinite tenure and Head of the Department, beginning March 1, 1970, on a twelve-month service basis, at an annual salary of $28,000.

Of this amount, the sum of $20,000 is nonrecurring. Of this amount, the sum of $48,500 is nonrecurring.
