Physical Plant Department Air Conditioning for Patient Care Areas of Research and Educational Hospitals $349 000 T h e Executive Vice President and Provost and the Vice President and Comptroller concur. I recommend approval.

On motion of Mr. Jones, these appropriations were made by the following vote: Aye, Mr. Clement, Mr. Grimes, Mr. Hahn, Mr. Jones, Mr. Pogue, Mr. Swain; no, none; absent, Mr. Hughes, Governor Ogilvie, Mr. Page, Mr. Steger, Dr. Weatherly.

CONTRACT FOR UNDERGROUND T U N N E L PIPING SYSTEMS TO THE PHYSICAL EDUCATION BUILDING, CHICAGO CIRCLE (16) The President of the University, with the concurrence of appropriate administrative officers, recommends award of a contract in the amount of $265,000 to Delta Piping Company, Chicago, the low bidder, for construction of the hot water and chilled water piping systems in the underground tunnel to the Physical Education Building at the Chicago Circle campus. Funds are available in state capital appropriations to the University for 1967-69 and have been released by the Governor.

On motion of Mr. Grimes, this recommendation was approved by the following vote: Aye, Mr. Clement, Mr. Grimes, Mr. Hahn, Mr. Jones, Mr. Pogue, Mr. Swain; no, none; absent, Mr. Hughes, Governor Ogilvie, Mr. Page, Mr. Steger, Dr. Weatherly.

CONTRACT FOR THERMAL INSULATION FOR UNDERGROUND T U N N E L PIPING TO BEHAVIORAL SCIENCES BUILDING AND PHYSICAL EDUCATION BUILDING, CHICAGO CIRCLE (17) The President of the University, with the concurrence of appropriate administrative officers, recommends award of a contract in the amount of $107,333 to Asbestos and Magnesia Materials Co., Chicago, the low bidder on the base bid and alternate No. 1, for the installation of thermal insulation on the high temperature water and chilled water tunnel piping to the Physical Education and the Behavioral Sciences buildings and on other piping in existing tunnels in connection with this work at the Chicago Circle campus. Funds are available in state capital appropriations to the University for 1967-69 and have been released by the Governor.
