1969] UNIVERSITY OF ILLINOIS 287 Purchases from Appropriated Funds On motion of Mr. Jones, the purchases recommended from appropriated funds were approved, except for Item 7 (FM Broadcast System for the Radio Station at the Urbana-Champaign campus), which was withdrawn, and Item 2 (library bookstacks, wood shelving, wood furniture, metal and miscellaneous furniture for the Science and Engineering Building at Chicago Circle) which was approved subject to confirmation by the President of the University. The President was requested to withhold confirmation on those purchases for which new bids can be obtained after July 1, 1969, and still receive delivery in time for the opening of the fall quarter in 1969. Purchases from Institutional Funds On motion of Mr. Jones, these purchases were authorized. The total amounts of purchases presented and approved were: From Appropriated Funds $1 010 918 191 From Institutional Funds 420 707 47 Complete lists of the purchases, with supporting information, were sent to each member of the Board in advance of the meeting, and copies are being filed with the Secretary for record. COMPTROLLER'S REPORT O F PURCHASES APPROVED (29) T h e Vice President and Comptroller also submitted a report of purchases approved by him on recommendation of the Directors of Purchases in amounts of $5,000 to $7,500.
