Provisional allocation of FY 1972-73 funds within the University. The University Budget Committee has recommended that the revised total of $189,411,681 in State appropriations be allocated among the campuses and general University offices in accordance with the breakdowns shown in the table below. Some of the "Unassigned" total of $536,798 will be allocated to one or more of the campuses after a further review of the special needs that might emerge as work on their respective budgets proceeds. / recommend that the Board endorse the proposed allocations of State appropriations as shown in the above table, subject to further review and final action on the 1972-73 internal budget for operations at its July 1972 meeting. Following general discussion of the significance of the "Supplemental Report a n d Recommendations," the Trustees approved the recommendation by the following vote: Aye, M r . Forsyth, M r . Hahn, M r . H o w a r d , M r . Hughes, M r . Neal, M r . Pogue, M r . Steger, M r . Swain; no, none; absent, D r . Bakalis, M r . Grimes, Governor Ogilvie.

BUDGET FOR 1 9 7 2 SUMMER QUARTER AND FACULTY APPOINTMENTS, CHICAGO CIRCLE

(5) Submitted herewith are the budget and appointments to the faculty for the 1972 Summer Quarter at Chicago Circle from June 16 through September IS, 1972. The total budget is for salaries in the amount of $1,208,400. The salaries recommended are computed on the basis of one-third of the salary of the academic year for a full quarter of service, with proportionate amounts for shorter periods or for part-time service. Hughes, these appointments a n d the summer quarter budget for Chicago Circle for 1972 were approved, a n d authority was given as requested; this action was taken by the following vote: Aye, M r .
